Jasmine Mille '15

As a teenager, Jasmine found solace playing baseball, which eventually led her to Harlem RBI, now DREAM. She soon realized the program was more than just sports—it was also mentorship, tutoring, stability. When financial struggles arose, DREAM found the funding and partnerships available to help Jasmine finish college. And at a DREAM networking event, Jasmine found a mentor who would open the door to her future career at PwC. Read more about Jasmine on the DREAM Blog

Dom TORRES '16

While studying filmmaking at Wheaton College, Dom traveled to Puerto Rico on a faculty-led trip to research the effects of Hurricane Maria on the island. In past years, students taking these types of trips later produced films recounting their experiences, but Dominick felt a larger story could be told through his lens. His project proposal was awarded Wheaton’s Filmmaker-in-Residence grant, and the result was the documentary Aguante, chronicling the history and rise of gender-based violence in Puerto Rico. Miracle Morales '18

Choosing a straight-to-career path, Miracle is one of the first participants in DREAM's Upward Pathways Program, earning a spot as a paid Bank of America summer apprentice last year. For nine weeks, Miracle worked as a digital ambassador at a Bank of America location in Midtown, receiving intensive, first-hand training. When the apprenticeship ended, she applied for a full-time role, and her Bank of America manager mentored her through the interview process, helping her secure an official job offer.
